Balasaraswati, it offers a unique opportunity to engage with the baani (style) of Bharatanatyam that Dr Balasaraswati and her family made world-famous. ‘Parampara Pravaha’ will deep-dive into the distinctive techniques and demanding adavus of Dr. T. Balasaraswati’s Bharatanatyam style, known for its authenticity and elegance. This is your chance to gain insight into the intricate relationship between nritta (pure dance) and abhinaya (expression) and understand how the two elements are interconnected through precise methodology and aesthetic movement. The workshop will also explore the interplay between music and dance, revealing how the nuances of abhinaya are enriched by musical interpretation, creating a deeply emotive and holistic performance. Aniruddha will be joined by two talented dancers, Maharani Parisumuthu and Abinaya Senthil, who bring a profound passion for the art form with over ten years of experience. Both have performed extensively in India and internationally, including prestigious festivals in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Colombo and Bangkok. Together, they will demonstrate the beauty and rigour of the dance form while offering valuable insights from their journeys.
