The Booth Museum is pleased to invite Museum members to an exclusive Member Opening on Saturday, January 11, 2025, for the upcoming special exhibition, Parallel Paths: The Art of Allan Houser & Harry Jackson. The exhibition marks the 110th anniversary of Houser’s birth and the 100th of Jackson’s. Curated by Booth Museum Executive Director Seth Hopkins, the exhibition delves into the captivating histories and artistic parallels of Houser and Jackson.Members have the option to register for a 4:00 pm gallery walk (Special Exhibition Gallery) first and reception at 5:00 pm (Eaton Atrium) or a 4:00 pm Reception and 5:00 pm Gallery Walk. At 6:00 pm all members are invited to Bergman Theatre for a panel discussion with Jackson’s oldest son Matt and Houser estate curator David Rettig and Seth Hopkins on the lives careers and legacies of the two legendary artists.
Advance registration is required.
If you can’t make the in-person event the lecture will stream on Booth’s Facebook page and YouTube channel on Thursday, January 16, 7:00 pm.
