If you want to impact a country, you must first reach its leaders. Working together with the local leaders of Asunción, Paraguay to establish a sustainable platform to connect marketplace leaders is a wonderful opportunity! As a member of this team you will be involved in dinner parties, sector outreaches, business events and one-on-one interactions with Paraguayan leaders to transform their city.
Asunción is the largest city in Paraguay and also its capital. As one of the oldest cities in South America, Asunción is known as “the Mother of Cities”. Its metropolitan area exceeds 2.3 million people, making it the most densely populated city in Paraguay but also its most productive, bringing in 70% of its Gross Domestic Product. Eight out of ten people work in commerce and service and the second largest business sector is industry and construction. There is a broad cultural spectrum in Paraguay, reflected in its literature, art, music, dance and cuisine. Asuncion resides in a subtropical climate and the seasons are opposite to those in the northern hemisphere, meaning northern summer is Paraguayan winter, and vice versa.
As a team member, you will receive our best training to improve your skills as a speaker. You will also have opportunities to share ideas with other Canadian leaders and your professional experience with local leaders. This opportunity is designed to increase your leadership confidence, build relationships with leaders in Paraguay and Canada, and to inspire you to make a difference back in your own city.
