Greenland Style and Wing Paddles
This month's topic will be going over the different paddle styles available from your standard European style paddles that most people are familiar with to spending more time on the different variations of Inuit style or Greenland paddles and Wing paddles which are often thought of for racing but are also excellent in a touring application.
This would be a good meeting to bring your own paddles as well. There are so many different versions available that it's a great way to show the finer differences between various brands and styles of blade.
We will be speaking about the activities planned for the late fall through winter season of paddling. Paddlesports of Naples will be going over some exciting news about a new brand coming out that they will have available this winter.
Meetings are regularly scheduled on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm, in the North Collier Govt Center at Orange Blossom Drive, just off Airport Rd and across the parking lot from the Main Branch of the Collier County Library. Come to the left (south) corner of the Government Center.
After the meeting some of us meet up for dinner someplace.
