Introducing PAPERCUT COMEDY SHOWCASE hosted by me; local comic and Schenectady resident, Joel Dorian!
Schenectady's next hilarious stand-up comedy showcase is coming to The Library at 501, upstairs from Backstage Pub! We are pleased to introduce our local favorites, some of the 518's funniest comedians: co-host of the up-and-coming Joker's Grab Bag comedy show, Blake Whitbeck; hosts of the popular comedy and lifestyle podcast "I Hate When That Happens," Kay Goutos and Padrick Smith; and The 2025 Capital Region's Funniest Comic winner, Shawn Barnes! Each of these touring comedians have dedicated themselves to writing and spitting some killer jokes, and they are excited to make their next appearance in The Library at 501! PAPERCUT may include adult themes and crass hip motions, but it's just a little guy so, don't worry about it :)
Tickets are $15 at the door or through this site, doors will be open at 7pm and show at 8pm, please be aware that seating could be limited at this event, meaning standing room only if we pack the house (which would be awesome.) This is a 21+ event, please have valid ID with you. Drink options will be available but the kitchen will be limited to downstairs only. Parking in the Schenectady Municipal Broadway Garage will be free past 5pm, (which is adjacent to a straight path between the NY Lottery building and Ya Ya's House, heading toward Backstage Pub.) There will also be some on-street parking available, however LAZ will have paid parking due to an event at Proctor's Theater the same night.
