Watercolor is one of my favorite mediums and July just happens to be National Watercolor Month - so I just had plan an accompanying class to follow up both the May's Ink Explorations Lab and July's Watercolor Explorations Lab - in this Lab we will be using decorative paper to explore the mixed media collage technique of paper weaving.Paper can be woven just like yarn or basketry materials - during this class we will explore weaving techniques to create abstract compositions plus a little form & funciton as we discuss possibilities for weaving baskets or even sculptural forms with our paper strips.
Whether you’re brand new to weaving techniques or wanting to brush up on the basics this is the right place to explore, express, expand.
All materials are provided just bring an open heart ready to explore creativity.

Pre-registration is requested due to the nature of sourcing materials for the class - these are currently IN PERSON only offerings hosted at Give Rise Studio in Frederick, MD - virtual options are being explored but not currently available.
