A 70 year old player piano, in its twilight years, waits outside the door of a barn, in the twilight hours of a summer day. Paper songs from 100 years time, hand-played by the nimble fingers of notable musicians of the past, wait to be breathtakingly brought back to life. Songs lost to time return, for just a flourishing moment among bright daisy & purple coneflower. And we listen, seated amidst young blueberry bushes and pink champagne currants, nourishing ourselves with lost song & savory hors d'oeuvres, tasting notes of spring rains & June sunshine, green pastures & fresh sky. And together, with songs to heart, food to belly, and foot to foxtrot, we will compose a most magical evening where moment meets memory.Tentative Menu (Featuring Local Foods & Subject to Change based on Seasonal Availability):

Where to Go: You will find us at 9611 Wagner Rd. in Cedar Falls. We will be located on the east (garden) side of the little brick barn near the Three Pines Farm sign. Parking signs will be out for this event.Additional Details:
This is an intimate vintage player piano concert with al fresco bistro table seating.
Ticket price includes a light hors d'oeuvres & sweets dinner featuring seasonal, local, garden fresh foods served on vintage glassware. A non-alcoholic beverage is included, but guests are welcome to bring their own wine or beer to enjoy (no hard alcohol please).
Doors at 7pm. Dinner served at ~7:15, with the player piano concert taking place during the dinner (and possibly after depending on how leisurely you dine). Guests are encouraged to dance on the piano patio and enjoy time relaxing & conversing on the farm post-concert.
The player piano concert is roughly 40-50 minutes, depending on final selection of music. While the piano rolls will mainly be antique hand-played rolls, we will incorporate some classical & modern songs. The rolls need to be loaded manually, so there will be short breaks between songs.
There is a minimum number of attendees needed for this special event to take place. If we do not reach the minimum attendance, full refunds will be issued to those who bought tickets.
In the event of rain/severe weather, we have a postponement date for the following day, Sunday, June 30th, same timeframe. Guests will be alerted via email no later than noon on 6/29 if a reschedule will be taking place.
This is an antique piano with complex inner workings that are sensitive to temperature, humidity, and breakage. Please know the piano may not play perfectly in outdoor conditions, especially given its age. It’s possible it could break at any time, which is part of the reason we are eager to host this special concert while it is still lively. Like us humans, pianos, in particular player pianos, have a finite life span. We think this is all part of its magic & specialness. Hope you do too and thank you for understanding.
This is a farm and an outdoor event. Accessibility is limited. Please consider wearing sunblock, bug spray, and sturdy footwear.
If the minimum attendee number is not reached for this special event, it will be canceled and a full refund will be issued (UPDATE: 6/18: We have reached the guest minimum and the garden party is officially on!). If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to send someone in your place, but a refund would not be issued in this situation.
