It is our absolute delight to welcome one of Scotland’s most prolific and euphoric modern rock bands back to the basement two years on from their last covid-aborted “headline” show.
Of all the artists working throughout lockdown, few were as productive as these soaring capital city rockers, producing an inspired home-recorded covers album, releasing a slew of live videos, performing live for BBC and releasing the precision banger that is the incendiary “Traitor’s Hill” album through MTAT & Anti-Manifesto.

SLOWLIGHT
As the beating heart of Struggletown, Slowlight are a twisted melodic post-hxc / emocore / math-rock proposition deeply immersed in the worlds of both punk and a hefty slice of pop, with smart insidious melodies that burrow their way into your skull long after the blitz is over.
You could say “don’t promise me FUGAZI and give me emo” but I’d say this is more spiky angry and witty Glaswegian pop music than a DC lesson in ethics and mathematics. If immersion is the best method of learning, we invite you to dive right in.

DOG EARED
Riotous fizzy melodic pop-punk played lightening quick and delivered in a thick Scottish brogue in the finest über-melodic pop-punk rock traditions of The Kimberly Steaks, Beauty School Dropout and The Murderburgers.
Having self-recorded and released the sick “OUR BORING LIVES” CDEP through MTAT back in September, these homegrown troops have been treading the floors across the country, making pals everywhere they go. These pups just keep learning, growing and getting both more excited and more exciting. Let’s go!
