Join instructor Tanya Ehrsam for an introduction to paper piece block quilting. Following a star flower pattern, you will create a quilt block wall hanging utilizing a paper piecing technique. Students will be provided with a supply and cutting list, along with the yardage needed of cotton fabric, so the project can be tailored to their color preference. The project will be ready to layer, bind, and quilt at home for project completion.This workshop will be held from 12:30-4:30 pm, Wednesday, October 8, in the Idonea Hersee Classroom at Art Reach, 111 E. Broadway, Mt. Pleasant, MI.
Students should bring their selected fabric and their own sewing machine. If you do not have a machine, Art Reach will provide one. Students should have some prior experience with machine sewing.
Recommended age: 16 and up
