After four sell-out shows, our great friends and extremely talented artists, Paper Flowers are bringing their “Remembering Fleetwood Mac” show back to The Hive w/ Special Guests The Waiting "Celebrating the music of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers" to help us kick-off Winter Carnival this year, Friday, Feb 13!
About Paper Flowers:
Paper Flowers: Remembering Fleetwood Mac offers a tribute of a different kind. Operating under a loose definition of “tribute band,” Paper Flowers evokes the feeling of a live performance during Fleetwood Mac’s heyday; around the time of their seminal release, Rumours. Topping the charts in 1977 and beyond, Rumours was part of one of the most influential years in pop culture history:
Star Wars, Saturday Night Fever, Close Encounters of the Third KindVoyager, Apple II, Atari, SNL, CHiPs, Tom Petty, Pink Floyd, The Bee Gees, The Clash, Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours.
They don’t wear wigs or play pretend. Paper Flowers is composed of four rock musicians paying homage to some of the greatest artists of a generation! Rather than a strict “needle drop,” they put their own spin on some of Fleetwood Mac’s most memorable hits, resulting in an often emotional and evocative experience.
About The Waiting:
The Waiting is one of America’s most electrifying roadhouse rock and roll bands. And, as the name might suggest, their specialty is celebrating the music of Tom Petty, including songs from the Heartbreakers repertoire, Petty’s solo work, and songs from the supergroup The Traveling Wilburys.
Since 2013, the band has thrilled diehard Petty fans and new converts alike throughout the American West. Whether they’re playing one of Tom Petty’s 38 songs to hit Billboard’s Rock Chart, a treasured deep cut, or a song from his work under the moniker, “Charlie T. Wilbury, Jr.”
