About this Event
In this popular mixed media workshop we will create a variety of playful articulated paper dolls. These collaged creatures will have wings, tails, legs and heads that move! I will have some ready made doll parts for you to play around with however you will also create your own body parts using recycled packaging, pages from books, paint swatches and a ton of decorative papers to choose from. I will have samples on hand for inspiration and yet I will encourage students to create their own unique fairies, monsters, mermaids, forest creatures or barn yard animals. The possibilities are endless.
Depending on design complexity students should have time to complete 3 to 4 dolls in class and will go home with a resource list for supplies so they can make more at home.
Techniques: Spray paint stencils, Mixed Media Collage, Drawing with Caran d'ache neo colour . All materials provided.
* Dress for mess and bring a sack lunch. Snacks and beverages will be provided.
