Welcom to Paper Art Workshop with Bernadette!
What to expect:
The class is one and a half hours to two hours long. When you arrive, you will pick one of sixty templates to learn how to make during the workshop. You will work on a light box provided by the teacher, and all the tools/materials will be provided. Once you’ve picked out the template, the teacher will guide you through the five steps of making a tissue paper art piece. After going through the five steps, you will end with a beautiful, stained-glass-like work of art that we will frame together at the end. The frame is also included in the workshop. There are three colors to choose from white, black, and natural wood.
Provided Materials:
-Light Box
-Tool Kit: exacto knife, tape, glue
-Template with card stock and tissue paper

About the instructor: Bernadette
Hello! My name is Bernadette Fahmy, and I’ve been a paper artist for about 12 years. When I moved into my college apartment in my hometown of San Jose, I had beautiful French windows and started putting tissue paper on the glass to make an oak tree. And I haven’t stopped making paper into stained-glass-like creations since then. It’s been a wonderfully beautiful and creative journey for me. I am lucky enough to now do commissions full-time and shows around the Bay Area and in France. These workshops started two years ago, and they are an excellent way for me to teach my medium, meet people in my community who love art, and create art together.
