Join us on Saturday 16 August to plant 2500 native shrubs, trees and intertidal rushes at Papakōwhai Lagoon, across from Papakōwhai Reserve on Papakōwhai Rd.This planting follows on from the two years of planting work already done along the road, and contributes to the effort to improve the water quality and biodiversity of our streams and harbour.
You will need to bring:
- gumboots
- warm and waterproof clothing
- sun hat and sunscreen
- reusable water bottle.
We will provide:
- plants and planting tools
- kai
- First Aid-trained staff
- hand sanitiser
- sunscreen
- public toilets (in Papakōwhai Reserve)
