Meeting time: 8:45AM for an 9:00AM start
Distance: about 9KM
Duration: About 4 hours including photo stops and shared lunch
Difficulty: Average (2 on a 1-5 scale with 5 being advanced/expert). Mostly easy walking tracks, but some hills are steep to walk up and down via wooden steps. Reasonable level of fitness and agility is required to complete the walk at moderate pace with the group.

Walk description:
We are combining the Massey-Cossey-Hunua Falls Tracks to create a rewarding loop walk. The track is metalled, but steep in places and involves wading or rock hoping across Cossey Creek. We will enjoy beautiful views, impressive native forest, sparkling waters, giant trees along the way, and see the popular Hunua Falls from all angles and up front!
Bring/wear:
- NO jeans/denims/cotton please
- trainers/sneakers will be fine unless weather has been wet recently, then you will need hiking shoes/boots as it may be very slippery
- snacks and at least 2L drink
- shared lunch (salo-salong pang pasko)
- your own cutlery, plate and drinking cup
- personal first aid kit & medication
- clothing suitable for Auckland spring/summer
- sun and rain protection
