Packed House Productions presents “Panorama” A Tribute to The Cars and “Tom Prettys” A Tribute to Tom Petty on Saturday, October 11th at 7pm.
Packed House Productions wants to invite and welcome all Cars fans and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers fans to a night of fun and great music by these two terrific bands. The first 200 people to enter will receive a gift to wear and use during the show!
Panorama: The music of The Cars needs no introduction. Their music sounds as fresh today as it did when it was first released. Panorama is comprised of five talented musicians from the Boston metro area (Gary Agresti, Darren Muise, Darin Ames, Jeff Ares, and Ken Marchione) dedicated to reliving the magic of The Cars live! They skillfully recreate the arrangements with passion and accuracy transporting the audience back to the time when spinning LPs ruled the airwaves and new wave music shook the concert halls with excitement. So, strap in and get ready to shake it up! Let’s drive you home. The Cars were an American rock band formed in Boston in 1976. Emerging from the new wave scene in the late 1970s, the line-up consisted of singer, rhythm guitarist, and songwriter Ric Ocasek; bassist and singer Benjamin Orr; lead guitarist Elliot Easton; keyboardist Greg Hawkes; and drummer David Robinson. In 2018 The Cars were inducted into the Hall of Fame. Their music has inspired countless musicians and will live on for generations to come.
Tom Prettys: The only all-female Tom Petty tribute band in the world. Get ready to rock with The Tom Prettys, the electrifying tribute band that brings the essence of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers to life in true “pretty” style. Their high-energy shows deliver spot-on renditions of Petty’s iconic songs with a feminine twist. Renowned for their engaging stage presence and infectious enthusiasm, The Tom Prettys create an atmosphere where fans can sing, dance, and revel in the timeless appeal of Petty’s music, making every performance a memorable celebration of rock ‘n’ roll.
Tickets are $38-$44 and can be purchased online at www.thetheateratnorth.org, over the phone at 570-800-5020, or in person at the box office: Tuesdays 11am-2pm, Wednesdays 11am-2pm, Thursdays 3pm-6pm, and on the day of the show starting at 5pm.
