Do you love manatees and talking to people? Help us raise awareness about manatees in our watersheds and how to report manatee sightings!
About this Event

Join PPBEP Staff on Zoom Wednesday, June 19th from 6pm-7pm for training to become a Panhandle Manatee volunteer and assist with outreach and community events.

We are looking for dedicated and reliable volunteers that want to learn more about manatees in our area and can help staff at festivals, events, and community outreach throughout our watersheds. The training will consist of an overview of general program information including the program mission, goals, upcoming projects, and continuous outreach efforts. We'll also dive into manatees and you'll learn about their habitats, life history, how to report a manatee sighting, safe boating practices, and seagrass!

Volunteers should be comfortable talking to and engaging with people of all ages and backgrounds, especially boaters and anglers.

Panhandle Manatee volunteers must be 18 years or older.
