Join us at our First Thursday monthly meeting in November, for a presentation by Rick O'Conner, on Florida freshwater turtles and terrapins. Rick is the University of Florida Marine Extension Agent for Escambia County with focus not he health of estuarine systems. Florida is home to more turtle species than any other state and many of them live in the Panhandle. This presentation will highlight the diversity of the species found here and discuss some of the conservation issues they face.The program will be held in Room 800 on the 2nd floor of the Chandler Center (NW door of 519 Helms St.) at the Crosspoint Church in Niceville. Socializing begins at 6:30 PM, and the program begins at 7:00 PM. Admission is free and open to the public..You do not have to be an Audubon member to attend
