To kick off the Lent season(the 40 period where we prepare our hearts for Easter through abstaining from food, technology etc), historically the church has celebrated Shrove Tuesday. Whilst shroves are something that aren’t familiar, it is also called Pancake Night and that we can get behind.At Summerhill Baptist, we are hosting a pancake night to connect with each other, enjoy something yummy and kick off the season of Lent. All are welcome, a donation would be appreciated but not required.
We start at 5:30pm and finish at 7pm as we understand it’s a school night. Please RSVP by Tuesday February 25th so we know how many to cater for.
