Ages 7 & Up Chocolate…the word itself conjures up fond memories of many delights. The unforgettable warm chocolate chip cookies with cold milk after-school and the comforting fudge cake at grandma’s house are thoughts that never fade. After we welcome our favorite recipes, we’ll explore the origins of the gift from the gods, Cacao Theobroma. From its earliest usage by the ancient Olmecs to modern day recipes, we will explore how Mousse au Rhum, La Belle Florentines, Trifle, Pot de Crème Au, fudge, truffles, bonbons morsels, flourless German chocolate cake and malts came to be.
