📖 About the Event: Palimpsest Quintet featuring Tyrone Noonan
This Jazz project from singer/songwriter/instrumentalist Tyrone Noonan, former frontman of No 1-charting, ARIA award-winning, multi-platinum-selling Australian band George… Palimpsest creates a timeless, yet current sound that takes the listener on an entrancing journey across continents, cultures and song writing eras, fusing elements of Swing, Latin, Soul, Folk and modern grooves and melodies. ‘I’ll Bet You Thought I’d Never Find You’, from the band’s debut self-titled album, has been licensed as the lead track on CD/vinyl versions of the top UK Nu Jazz compilation Messin’ Around Vol. 5 (Freestyle Records); while the remix version by top Japanese DJ Chikashi has been released on influential UK radio/club DJ Russ Dewbury’s Jazz Rooms compilation (Mr Bongo Records).
Featuring the incredible talents of Josh Hatcher – Saxophone, Will Sargisson – Piano, Elliott Parker – Double Bass, Aaron Jansz – Drums and Tyrone Noonan – Vocals.
