In order to understand the dynamics of settler colonialism in Israel and Palestine, we need to understand how land is being taken from Palestinians through the process of house demolition, illegal building of settlements and confiscation for military purposes. The Palestine Land Exercise shares some elements with the Blanket Exercise that helped many of us look at the history of colonization in Canada and its impact on Indigenous peoples. This PLE is ready for us to learn to use. Free of charge. Register via the same link as the conference: Faith in a Time of Genocide. Participants are encouraged to attend the national conference as well!
United Network for Justice and Peace in Palestine and Israel (UNJPPI) is a network of United Church people, and some who may be ecumenical neighbours or activists, who care about the struggle for justice by Palestinians and the possibility of peace with Israel. Formed in 2012 in response to the Kairos Palestine call for a just peace, the network has the goals to βengage, consolidate, nourish, and channel the energy in the United Church of Canada toward the goal of a just peace in Palestine/Israel, primarily through calling for an end to the Israeli occupation of Palestinian lands and for equal rights for all who live in Palestine/Israel, by facilitating education, promoting partnerships, coordinating advocacy, advancing policy and encouraging action.β
