Power of Vulnerability é uma peça expositiva criada por António Onio que explora o conceito do Queer Thinking Day e que foi apresentada no dia 12 de abril de 2014, em Londres. António dança, fala e provoca a audiência quanto ao poder [power] da peça, implícito em cada movimento.
Dialoga com as pessoas no sentido de as questionar — e de as fazer questionar sobre uma determinada temática que é expressa, mas não forçada. Este jogo de força e de energia, quer pelo limiar de potência e pela dicotomia entre público/audiência, quer pelo seu movimento errático, conduz todos ao mesmo ponto: um lugar de realidade, onde as ações podem transcender o espaço e as palavras podem transcender as pessoas. O performer acredita que este contexto só poderá ser tangível através de uma exposição leve, de uma fraqueza vergonhosa e do poder da vulnerabilidade.
Desde a sua criação em 2012 que o ciclo Palcos Instáveis incentiva o trabalho de criadores emergentes da cidade do Porto e do Norte do país. Com a assinatura da Instável — Centro Coreográfico e a coprodução do Teatro Municipal do Porto, os Palcos Instáveis facilitam residências artísticas de criação, a produção, a comunicação e apresentação de novas obras, possibilitando o cruzamento de experiências artísticas e oferecendo à cidade o contacto com linguagens coreográficas emergentes.

The exhibition piece Power of Vulnerability was created by António Onio, explores the concept behind the Queer Thinking Day and was presented on April 12, 2014, in London. António dances, talks and teases the audience regarding the power of the piece, which is implied in every movement.
He engages in a dialogue with people to question them, and to make them question a certain issue that is conveyed, but not imposed. This game of strength and energy, given the power threshold and the public/audience dichotomy on the one hand, and its erratic movement on the other, leads to a place of reality where actions can transcend space and words can transcend people. The performer believes this context can only become tangible by means of slight exposure, shameful weakness and the power of vulnerability.
Since the Palcos Instáveis series started in 2012, it has encouraged the work of upcoming creators from Porto and the Northern region of the country. Curated by Instável — Choreographic Centre and co-produced by Teatro Municipal do Porto, Palcos Instáveis facilitates artistic residencies to create, produce, announce and present new works, thus enabling the intersection of artistic experiences and providing the city with the opportunity to get in touch with upcoming choreographic languages.
