📢 O podujatí
Palackého naživo je malý mestský festival, ktorého cieľom je ukázať, že aj miesto známe predovšetkým ako veľké parkovisko môže byť príjemným verejným priestorom. Na jeden letný večer sa Palackého ulica zmení na bezpečnú a pokojnejšiu zónu plnú života, zelene, inšpirácie a zážitkov. Súčasťou podujatia je Hudobný piknik (https://visit.trencin.sk/podujatia/?id=7085).
Podujatie sa uskutoční v piatok 22. augusta 2025 od 16:00 do 22:00.
Dôležitou súčasťou programu bude otvorenie novej architektonickej intervencie – parkletu, ktorý vznikol ako predzvesť budúcich trvalých zmien v tejto lokalite.

Príďte si užiť popoludnie plné tanca, hudby, diskusií aj letného kina priamo na ulici! Palackého ožije pestrým programom pre všetky vekové kategórie.
🕓 16:00 – Tanečný workshop s MS Dance Studio
Miesto: Palackého ulica
Profesionálni lektori z MS Dance Studio vás rozhýbu na tanečnom workshope priamo v srdci mesta. Do tanca sa môžu zapojiť deti aj dospelí. Ulica bude na chvíľu patriť pohybu a hudbe.
🕔 17:00 – Otvorenie nového parkletu
Miesto: Dolný koniec ulice, pri prevádzke Deloris
Palackého získava nové miesto na oddych! Príďte na slávnostné otvorenie parkletu – verejného priestoru s lavičkami, zeleňou a tieňom. Dozviete sa, prečo vznikol práve tu, ako dlho ostane na mieste a komu má slúžiť. Na otvorení vystúpia aj pozvaní hostia.
🕠 17:30 – preTvor mesto: Fontány ako súčasť mestského života
Miesto: Parklet, pri Deloris
Diskusia o význame fontán v mestách – ako estetické prvky, orientačné body či miesta spoločného stretávania. Môže mať aj Trenčín svoju „Družbu“?

Ako môže vyzerať mesto očami mladých? Účastníci letnej školy miestotvorby – Placecampu – predstavia svoj návrh, ktorý pretvára jedno parkovacie miesto na zmysluplný verejný priestor. Inšpirujte sa ich tvorivým prístupom k mestskému prostrediu.

Miesto: Hlavné pódium
Charizmatická speváčka Tammy Nižňanská, gitarista Jerguš Oravec a bubeník Adam Olexík prinášajú energický hudobný zážitok. Slovenská alternatívna rocková scéna v plnej sile – The Youniverse zahrá skladby z oceňovaného albumu CMYK aj ďalšie hity.

Strhujúca filmová dráma z obdobia normalizácie od režiséra Jiřího Mádla. Príbeh dvoch redaktorov Československého rozhlasu, osobnej odvahy a tenkej hranice medzi pravdou a propagandou. Film inšpirovaný skutočnými udalosťami rezonuje aj v súčasnosti.

Príďte sa presvedčiť, že aj Palackého ulica môže byť miestom stretávania, oddychu a inšpirácie. Spolu môžeme ukázať, ako môže vyzerať Trenčín, keď dáme prednosť ľuďom pred autami.
📍 Doprava a obmedzenia
Počas podujatia bude úsek od parkovacieho domu na Palackého ulici (parkovací dom nebude obmedzený) po CoopJednota SUPERMARKET uzavretý pre dopravu.
Úsek medzi parkovacím domom a hotelom Elizabeth bude dočasne obojsmerný. Parkovisko pred Piaristickým gymnáziom Jozefa Braneckého nebude obmedzené vrátane vjazdu a výjadzu.
Cyklotrasa v tomto úseku bude neprejazdná. Cyklisti môžu na úseku podujatia prejsť s bicyklom po zosadnutí. Na podujatia budú k dispozícií cyklostojany.
Uzávera časti ulice Palackého potrvá od 22. 8. 2025 od polnoci 00:00 do soboty 23. 8. 2025 do 03:00 rána.
Odporúčame prísť pešo, na bicykli alebo využiť MHD.

📢 About the event
Palackého naživo is a small urban festival aimed at showing that even a place primarily known as a large parking lot can become a pleasant public space. For one summer evening, Palackého Street will turn into a safe and calmer zone full of life, greenery, inspiration, and experiences. The event will also feature a Music Picnic (https://visit.trencin.sk/podujatia/?id=7085).
The event will take place on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 16:00 to 22:00.
A key part of the program will be the opening of a new architectural intervention – a parklet, which was created as a precursor to future permanent changes in this area.

Come enjoy an afternoon full of dance, music, discussions, and open-air cinema – right on the street! Palackého Street will come alive with a vibrant program for all age groups.
🕓 16:00 – Dance Workshop with MS Dance Studio
Location: Palackého Street
Professional instructors from MS Dance Studio will get you moving at a dance workshop in the very heart of the city. Children and adults alike are welcome to join. For a while, the street will belong to music and movement.
🕔 17:00 – Opening of the New Parklet
Location: Lower end of the street, near Deloris
Palackého Street is getting a new spot to relax! Come to the festive opening of the parklet – a public space with benches, greenery, and shade. You'll learn why it was created here, how long it will stay, and who it's meant for. Special guests will join the opening ceremony.
🕠 17:30 – reShape the City: Fountains as Part of Urban Life
Location: Parklet near Deloris
A discussion on the role of fountains in cities – as aesthetic elements, landmarks, or places for gathering. Can Trenčín have its own version of the famous “Družba” fountain?

What does the city look like through the eyes of young people? Participants of Placecamp – a summer placemaking school – will present their concept that transforms a single parking space into a meaningful public place. Get inspired by their creative approach to the urban environment.
🕖 19:00 – Concert: The Youniverse
Location: Main stage
Charismatic singer Tammy Nižňanská, guitarist Jerguš Oravec, and drummer Adam Olexík deliver an energetic musical experience. A powerful performance from the Slovak alternative rock scene – The Youniverse will play tracks from their acclaimed album CMYK along with other hits.

A gripping drama set during the era of Czechoslovak “normalization”, directed by Jiří Mádl. The story of two radio editors, personal courage, and the thin line between truth and propaganda. Based on real events, the film still resonates strongly today.

Come and see for yourself that even Palackého Street can be a place of meeting, relaxation, and inspiration. Together, we can show what Trenčín can look like when we prioritize people over cars.
📍 Transportation and restrictions
During the event, the section from the parking house on Palackého Street (the parking house will not be restricted) to the Coop Jednota SUPERMARKET will be closed to traffic.
The section between the parking house and the Elizabeth Hotel will temporarily be two-way. The parking lot in front of the Piarist Gymnasium Jozefa Braneckého will not be restricted, including the entrance and exit.
The bike path in this section will be impassable. Cyclists may walk their bikes through the event area. Bike racks will be available at the event.
The closure of part of Palackého Street will last from midnight on August 22, 2025, until 03:00 AM on Saturday, August 23, 2025.
We recommend coming on foot, by bike, or using public transport.
Event partners include the Miloš Alexander Bazovský Gallery and the Michal Rešetka Public Library.
