This group of workshops is intended for complete beginners or anyone wanting to refresh/develop on their interest in painting. It is as much about being playful and developing your creative eye as it is about learning technique.Over the four sessions you will be introduction to some basic methods of colour mixing, a bit of colour theory, brush control and image construction and learn about creating form and the use of perspective. We will work across different subjects over the weeks.
These workshops are every two weeks allowing time and space to work at home to develop ideas and practice between sessions.
Each painting exercise is devised to offer different learning outcomes, such as: looking at composition - creating the appearance of a 3D object on a flat surface - explore form and perspective and develop paint handling and brush control. During the sessions I will encourage you to experiment to help discover your own way of working.
