Pre-purchased tickets for this experience is required!!Painting Tortoise Tracks with Safari the African Spurred Tortoise! Program Start Time - 8:30 am to 10:00 am.
This 90-minute long experience takes place behind the scenes where participants in each painting session will be invited into the center for a private guided tour led by one of our Animal Care Team Members. At the end of your tour, you and Safari will paint a beautiful masterpiece in the most unique and creative way possible by using his favorite snacks to entice him across the canvas and spread three colors of your choosing. This experience is one-of-a-kind, which makes it an exciting form of enrichment for both Safari and the participants. Check out the video below to see what is in store for you. - The opportunity to learn about various species and ask our knowledgeable Animal Care --Team members about our incredible animal family including tortoises, terrapins, sea turtles, and various Gulf of Mexico inhabitants.
- Introduction to NBSTCC’s resident green sea turtle, Sweet Pea. Program is led by our NBSTCC’s Lead Animal Care Team and Marine Biologist.
