Hear about the artistic process of artist-in-residence Patrick Neal and view some of his work at Painting the Four Seasons on Thursday, April 17 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Mansion.Join us for a presentation from this New York-based painter, whose oil and watercolor landscape paintings are centered around the four seasons, 12 months, elements of earth, air, fire and water, and night and day. They take into consideration his explorations of parks in New York City, travels in update New York and past residencies including time spent in Monteverde, Costa Rica.
Neal’s talk will include a question-and-answer period, as well as a show-and-tell presentation of new pieces he will complete while at Allerton.
A cash bar will be available.
Neal’s residency is thanks to the generosity of art lover and University of Illinois alum Len Lewicki.
