Painting Study Workshop with Cody Wheelock at the AKMA

Learn to paint quick, small painting studies to improve your artistic practice. This is a great way to start as a beginner, or as an artist wanting to explore options before moving on to a more detailed painting.
Instructor Cody Wheelock will introduce students to the concept of poster studies, provide demonstrations and explain how to set up your own practice. A poster study is a small, quickly executed painting that captures the essence of a subject. Students will experiment with creating poster studies of their own with guidance from the instructor. While Cody will be demonstrating with oil paint, any paint media is acceptable for this workshop.
