Set your morning apart from any other and paint outside in Doon Heritage Village.

Enjoy the crisp autumn air and paint with local artist Janice Saunders under cover of one of our rustic barns at Doon Heritage Crossroads. Using acrylic paints and with Canadian artist, David Milne, as our inspiration, choose either an interior scene or a still life using simple containers and fall flowers from the property.
Janice graduated from the University of Waterloo, with a BA in Fine Arts, she focused on fine art photography and painting as her primary mediums. Janice is a graduate of the Independent Studio Program at the Haliburton School of Arts, and a graduate of the Humber School for Writers. Her favorite mediums are oil, acrylic, mixed media, plein air painting and photography, and has a passion for art history.
Please note this class is geared towards the ages of 16 and older; no experience is needed. All painting materials provided by the museum, the sharing of items will not be permitted. If weather does not cooperate, a rain backup date will be offered.
Space is limited to enable safety protocols that include physical distancing and cleaning. Tickets must be purchased in advance for all those attending. Facemasks are mandatory at all times while accessing this space. Tickets are non-refundable.
