Join us as we host a BYOB painting class (40 seats available) and a portion of the proceeds will go towards a local charity or cause. Come create with us while supporting your community. This event will be raising money for LaSalle County CASA
LaSalle County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is a non-profit organization which advocates for the best interests of the abused and neglected children in the LaSalle County Court system. You don’t necessarily have to donate money to make a big impact. Showing up and showing support in a young person’s life is vital to their development and self-esteem.
We train and support dedicated community volunteers who serve to protect our abused and neglected children’s right to a safe and permanent home.
Our volunteers get to know the child by talking with everyone in that child's life: parents and relatives, foster parents, teachers, medical professionals, attorneys, social workers and others. We use the information we gather to help judges and others understand what the child needs and to help the child find a safe, permanent home.
You don't have to be a lawyer or a social worker to be a volunteer. We welcome people from all walks of life, who care about children and wish to speak up for them. As a volunteer, you will be thoroughly trained and well-supported by professional staff, who will help you through each case.
