About this Event
Join NYC H2O and NYC Parks to help beautify Tompkins Sq Park benches with fresh coats of paint. Painting will help preserve the wooden seats and make the benches more inviting for park-goers to congregate and enjoy the outdoors.
Once a former swampland, this park has gone through multiple redesigns since being purchased by the city in 1834. Tompkins Square Park is known for embodying the spirit of the East Village and continues to provide a much needed greenspace for all residents and visitors.
Gloves, brushes, paint, and water will be provided for all participants. Please wear clothes that are okay to get paint on.
