About this Event
Painted Animal Sculptures - Workshop
Join artist Pia Dugger for a creative and meaningful hands-on workshop where you’ll transform thrifted animal sculptures into vibrant, one-of-a-kind art pieces. Guided step-by-step by the artist, you’ll learn how to breathe new life into objects that were once discarded, turning them into something unique, and worth appreciating again.
Inspired by Pia’s own sculptural work, this workshop offers insight into her creative process and philosophy. You’ll hear firsthand how she repairs, prepares, and reimagines secondhand sculptures, and how this practice reflects her belief that not everything old or broken needs to be thrown away.
This special session will be held in the intimate setting of the Peach Artist Collective Gallery, where Pia’s exhibition will be on view through the end of December. With a maximum of 10 participants, you’ll have plenty of personal guidance and room to be inspired by the artwork surrounding you or you can paint something entirely your own.

Artist’s Philosophy
“We live in a society where everything seems disposable. But I believe that not everything that is old or even broken needs to be discarded. In my practice, I work with thrifted animal sculptures, making small repairs and preparing the surfaces so they can be transformed and appreciated again.”
