Join us for a unique afternoon of creativity and canine companionship at District Dogs National Landing! Led by talented artist and pet-lover Margaret Jacobson from the Museum of Contemporary Art, this hands-on workshop invites you to create a custom portrait of your beloved pet. Margaret will guide you step-by-step through the painting process, ensuring you leave with a piece that truly captures your pet's personality.
Each participant will paint on an 11x14 canvas, with all art supplies provided, including easels, paints, brushes, aprons, and water buckets. Just bring yourself, your passion for pets, and a favorite photo of your furry friend.
How It Works:
- Reserve Your Spot: Spaces are limited to ensure an intimate class setting (max 15 participants), so early registration is encouraged.
- Submit Your Photo: After registering, email a clear photo of your pet to Margaret at [email protected]. For best results, we recommend close-up images in good lighting.
- Enjoy the Experience: Sit back, relax, and watch your pet come to life on canvas with Margaret's guidance!

About the Artist:Margaret Jacobson, a dedicated instructor and creative, has a deep love for both animals and the arts. When she's not teaching or creating, she’s spending time with her own dog, Chewy. Margaret brings her passion for pets to each class, making sure every participant leaves with a painting they're proud of!

- Background Details: The pet’s background will be a solid color of your choosing, so don’t worry about the background in your reference photo.
