About this Event
Learn how to paint your pet with watercolor with local artist Alexandra Schmeling! No experience needed. After warming up with some exercises to get you introduced to watercolor, you will receive a 8x10 outline drawing of your pet based on a photo you submit and will be. Alex will guide you through how to paint your pet by offering individual guidance and feedback based on your specific painting. You will leave with a completed painting, a watercolor palette, and a brush to continue painting at home! Also, participants will enjoy a wine tasting and get to take home a complimentary logo wine glass!

Bio: Alexandra Schmeling is an Arlington-based artist specializing in watercolor pet portraits. Although she has been making art all her life, she started her business three years ago after doing pet portrait fundraisers for local animal shelters during COVID. You can see her work in over 30 stores nationwide or at art shows around the DMV area! She has a rescue mutt named Ripley who has way too many portraits.
