Paint your own family portraits! Acrylic painting art lesson

A full day art class painting your own family portrait! Suitable for absolute beginners and if you are looking to learn new painting skills.

You’ll be greeted at the venue by your host artist Stuart. Working from your own photos, you'll be painting step by step, supported and guided along with helpful hints and tips.

Stuart will demonstrate techniques to help you get likenesses right and create your own compositions (if you want to put a few photos together, you can email them in advance). You'll learn how to mix colours and get tone and shading, progressing through the day.
Please bring some good sized print outs of the photos you are working from will really help, or photos on your phone or tablet.

You'll be provided with everything you need to create your masterpiece - paints (acrylics), brushes, easel and canvas! You'll create a masterpiece that is yours to take home at the end of the night. Light refreshments included, please bring a packed lunch.*
