Have you ever seen a barn quilt? It's a large square, traditionally hung on barns, with a quilt-square-type design. We're offering a class on October 20 where you can paint your own 24-inch square barn quilt on a pre-drawn aluminum panel. You pick your own design ahead of time and spend the morning (9 to 1) painting in the colors, then take it home to hang indoors or out. For this one class, you'll need to sign up by calling me, Pam Matthews, at 207-320-5657 (my cell), and get a check for $50 to me made out to Jeff Kurtz (our teacher). This will be the only time we offer this class, which will be held at Congregation Beth Jacob, 904 N. Norwest Lane, Carbondale.
Come on and join us for a morning of painting fun - men and women invited. Call me with any questions. This class is being offered through Southern Illinois Learning in Retirement.
