This workshop is great for artistically inclined folks or folks who just want to try something new!Join YC instructor Peat Purol, on a fun and creative endeavor through the lens of the Panchakosha. ‘Pancha’ meaning five, and ‘Kosha’ meaning sheath, put together, they are the 5 layers of self-awareness and consciousness that is first mentioned nearly 3000 years ago in the Upanishads, an important text in yoga practice and philosophy.
These sheaths are believed to make up the energetic layers of each individual. Traditionally, as well as in modern times yoga teachers and holistic therapists use this model to consider each individual when teaching yoga and using various healing modalities.
With the use of a kosha map, you'll move through 5 unique rounds of various yoga practices, to awaken and bring awareness to these sheaths. With the use of guided imagery and a tracing of your body, you'll have time for creative expression of your experience.
Once you have a visual reference of your inner landscape, you'll have the opportunity to participate in a group discussion and shed light on those physical and/or energetic blocks in your body and mind. You'll leave with a better understanding of where your body and mind need more attention and a network of like-minded individuals to practice with.
