Cacao Ceremony and Intuitive Painting with Sound TherapyJoin Monica and Alison, The Berkshire Sound Therapists, for an afternoon of cacao and creativity.
Cacao is a plant medicine with a multitude of powerful properties. It can help us to access a creative state by grounding us, and can help us to connect to our higher selves, tune in to our intuition and bring ourselves back in line with our natural vibration. We'll be using cacao at the start of the workshop to connect with our creativity.
Following a beautiful cacao ceremony, to connect us all to our hearts and creative energy, guidance will be given to begin the painting journey. During the event, gongs and other instruments will be played to help enhance the experience, to quieten our minds and connect us to our centres, so our creativity can flourish.
We all hold an abundance of creative energy inside of us, but we can only access this when our noisy minds step out of the way. Join us for this fun and connective workshop in Forest Park, Bracknell, and unleash your creativity within.
All supplies will be provided.
W HAT YOU WILL NEED:
You may want to bring your own notepad and pen if you want to journal about your painting as you work.
You may like to bring a cushion to sit on for the cacao ceremony.
Reusable water bottle. Herbal teas will be provided.
VENUE INFORMATION: Forest Park Community Centre. Parking is free outside in the Tesco car park.

CACAO: Contraindications: Ceremonial Cacao is not recommended for anyone in the first trimester of pregnancy, with a serious heart condition, epilepsy or taking antidepressants. If you would like to still attend and take a much lower dose, you can do so at your own risk. Our Cacao is First Grade Ceremonial Cacao from Guetamala. Tuttuquilal (meaning harmony) is a not-for-profit impact centre that acts as the heart of a holistic regeneration project including reforestation and an education centre. They collaborate with a group of local farmers to support and grow Cacao sustainably.
Cacao is a powerful plant medicine that contains iron, zinc, potassium, copper, and magnesium which contribute to cardiovascular health. It is said to have benefits for depression as it contains anandamide, the bliss molecule and has the ability to trigger the release of dopamine and endorphins and increase serotonin. Cacao also has powerful antioxidants and can balance blood sugar levels by increasing the blood flow to the brain. This helps with focus and awareness. Cacao also has spiritual and emotional benefits and can help us to connect with our higher self, tune in to our intuition and access transformational states.

ABOUT THE BERKSHIRE SOUND THERAPISTS:
As well as being qualified Sound Therapists, Alison and Monica have been painting intuitively since childhood.
Alison from Just BE Sound and Movement Therapy: Just BE Sound and Movement Therapy is run by Alison Heaslewood who qualified in Sound and Movement Therapy with the British Academy of Sound Therapy. Following a five year episode of chronic pain in her twenties and a diagnosis of fibromyalgia, she turned to alternative methods of healing, including Sound Therapy. Along with sound, movement was instrumental in her full recovery and as well as offering sound journeys, she holds separate sessions to weave sound and movement together. With five years vocal training she enjoys bringing soothing vocals into her sound sessions along with other percussion. She creates nurturing and relaxing spaces for anyone seeking a space to Just BE. Alison is the Children's Author of the Bodhi the Pirate Dog series.
Monica from Luna Sound and Energy: Monica is a Gong Master Practitioner and Usui & Karuna Reiki Master. She’s also qualified in Reiki drumming, Tibetan and Crystal singing bowls and Aura & Chakra balancing. She’s passionate about sharing the sound and loves mixing sonic practices with energy therapies. She believes sound is transformative and can help with anxiety, insomnia and depression amongst other things. Monica is also a professional photographer.
