Welcome to Paint the Town Green - Faces of Resilience: Stories to Make You Think, Feel!

Join us at the West Gippsland Arts Centre for an evening of inspiration and connection, thanks to the generous support from Baw Baw Big Blokes BBQ. Hear from incredible individuals who have overcome challenges and emerged stronger. Let their stories ignite your own resilience and leave you with a new perspective. This in-person event promises to be a night of reflection, growth, and community.

Hosted by Sam Mercuri & the team at Mindfull Aus, this event will feature inspiring talks from:

🎤 Mark McConville – Australia’s only full-time professional comedian with a master’s degree in Suicidology presents his Laughter Clinic, an event not to be missed. This insightful presentation offers the perfect balance of suicide prevention education, humour and laughter, all combined with easy to remember mental health self-care strategies and take away messages.

🎤 Lauren McDonough – A mental health advocate, suicide survivor, amputee, model and “hope dealer,” Lauren shares her powerful lived experience with honesty and humour. With her quick wit for humour and incredible story of overcoming adversity, Lauren inspires audiences to see that courage, strength, and above all hope, can be found even in life’s darkest moments.

✨ Expect a night of laughter, heartfelt stories, and practical strategies that will leave you feeling inspired and connected.
