If you missed the last opportunity to paint in the Henry T. Oxnard historic district and tour Erin Dertner’s studio and frame shop, we have decided to revisit that site! Many were too relaxed after our lunch social to paint, so the new schedule is: Paint 9am to Noon, with a wee break afterwards to sip and socialize at Erin's. Feel free to bring your picnic lunch and Erin will provide drinks and places to sit in her backyard, or just pop in to take a short tour before heading home. She's such a gracious host ❤️319 South F Street Oxnard [Bathrooms available]
Covering F and G streets, between Palm and 5th streets, the Henry T. Oxnard Historic District is located in the heart of Downtown Oxnard. The district sprawls over 70 acres and is comprised of 139 contributing buildings, including homes in the Craftsman, Spanish Colonial and Period Revival bungalow styles. The Henry T. Oxnard tract on F Street and the Walter H. Lathrop tract on G Street were built during 1909-1941 and with the vast majority built before 1925.
The grand Henry Levy House is at 155 S. G Street.
I plan to paint the nearby 1903 Santa Clara church at 323 S. E St. - Laura
