Paint Making Class: Local Natural Watercolor

Welcome to local artist Júlia Godoy's private art studio for a Paint Making: Local Natural Watercolor Class! Come learn the secrets of creating your own watercolor paint using natural, locally- sourced pigments. You will learn the ancient technique of mulling paint by hand where you will dive into a calming and centered state of mind, body, and spirit. You will have the opportunity to take home a seashell filled with watercolor paint which will serve as a reminder of your transformative experience and will be yours to keep.

Class will wrap up with a watercolor painting lesson where Júlia will guide you through painting techniques to get you started on your creative journey. Come and immerse yourself in the joy of natural pigments and the freedom they offer! All materials are provided, just bring your enthusiasm and an open mind.

This class is suited for adults aged 18 and above, and welcomes participants from all backgrounds. Please be sure to arrive 15 minutes early and keep LA traffic in mind. There is free street parking after 6 pm.

Homemade Watercolor Binder

Seashell (foraged locally)

Muller and Mulling Slab

Palette Knife

Watercolor Paper

Watercolor Brush
