Paint! Pot! Drink!

Customize your very own terra cotta pot by painting it! Once your paint is dried, add soil, your desired plants and take your work of art home!

Care instructions and tips will be provided during this workshop. We will provide your pot, soil, a variety of plants and of course the drinks!

About the Host!

Kimberly Montes is a Painter and Designer from Philadelphia. She works with different paint mediums such as oil, acrylics, and watercolors. When she is not painting, she likes to sketch in her various journals, create digital art or work on designs for her nonprofit Youth Design Philly. Kimberly’s work has been featured in shows held in Philadelphia, P.A., West Chester, P.A., and Yorklyn, D.E.

Kimberly’s childhood experience as a creative soul led to the pursuit of a Fine Arts education from West Chester University. In the years following graduation, Kimberly became a liberal arts educator to students ranging from grades K-8; this is where she discovered her passion for teaching. After 5 years of teaching, she felt the need to infuse creativity into her daily work so she returned to further pursue her education at Drexel University. From 2015-2018, Kimberly studied Interior Architecture and Design at the Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design. Her passion for education, the arts and design helped guide her towards the mission of YDP and influence her current body of work.
