NOTE: MUST JOIN R.E.A.L. Over 50s Social Group: Friends, Food & Fun -
Minimum Age 50. The $10 annual fee for this group is included in the ticket price to this event allows you to attend other events throughout the year.
Let's do a Paint and Sip - and try out the trendiest non-alcoholic cocktails or wine in town, at Bevees in Port Coquitlam. We will have a private room and we will do artist lead painting activities – a great evening of painting and sipping.
Bevees does not do food - other than popcorn. But their cocktails are AMAZING! I have been there - went as a skeptic and had two absolutely amazing cocktails, and came away very impressed. They also sell bottles - if you want to take some home.
The agreement on the private room is each person must buy at least one cocktail. Supplies are included in the ticket price. Your DRINKS ARE ADDITIONAL. I am an artist and will lead the painting activities.
Every person will go home with a minimum of two pieces of art. NO ARTISTIC TALENT REQUIRED!!!
We will use Watercolor Paint pens and watercolor paints and will work on Premium Grade Acid Free Watercolour Paper. (If it is raining bring a large bag – 16 x 20” to protect your art on the way home.)
Each member will go home with a minimum of two pieces of art:
· A Collaborative piece of art. This is an abstract piece of art created by everyone contributing to one another’s piece of art. There are two samples at the link provided. It is fun, interactive and a great ice breaker activity. It also gives everyone an opportunity to practice with the mediums we are using prior to making their final piece.
· A sampler with 12 small images – this can be framed as a sampler with 12 images or can be cut into 12 smaller images which can each be framed separately or used to make cards. (Great for Christmas Gifts)
