About this Event

This 5-part class will focus on painting a flower in oils. Learn the basics of using traditional oil paints without using solvents. Bring a color AND a black and white print out of the flower you would like to paint. Be sure the flower FILLS the whole 8.5x11 page. Each week we will practice basic techniques as we work on your painting. Class includes all materials.

Week 1: Overview of the materials and tools, base color, image transfer
Week 2: Mixing colors, and blocking in values
Week 3: Colors and textures
Week 4 Glazing
