Pain As Art w/ Clare O'Kane

PAIN AS ART is a solo show where writer and comic Clare O’Kane tries her hand at various forms of art in order to find the best way of expressing all of her pent up grief and anxiety. She’ll be telling stories about the aforementioned sad shit and, of course, it will be funny as well (comedy is subjective). Join her for a nice little night of catharsis, comedy, and ART, baby, ART.

Clare O’Kane is an actor, comedian and writer from San Jose, California. She has performed in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Bridgetown Comedy Festival, San Francisco Sketchfest, Outside Lands, and has opened for the band Jawbreaker on their most recent reunion tour. Clare has written for Spongebob Squarepants, Shrill, Fairview, appeared on Viceland and Comedy Central (dot com), and is one-third of the sketch group Blessed. Clare is frequently cast in short films and is usually paid in hummus. She has been described as “sarcastic” and “half-Asian”. When she’s not sneezing, Clare travels around the country to perform stand-up comedy and eat like shit. She currently lives in Brooklyn, NY with her tall husband and medium dog.

• Acceptable forms of proof include: your physical vaccination card, an app that shows your vaccination status, or a picture of your vaccination card.
• Please bring photo ID matching the name on your proof of vaccination.
• Masks are not required but guests are encouraged to wear a mask when indoors, unless actively eating or drinking.
• If you or anyone within your group has or is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, we ask you to please stay home to ensure the health and safety of our attendees and staff.
