On August 18, at Rabindra Okakura Bhavan, the musical recital Padmaboter Robi will be presented.
While overseeing the zamindari estates in Bangladesh, Rabindranath often had to travel along various rivers and tributaries. For this, his preferred mode of transport was the family barge, the Padmaboat. The Padmaboat stands witness to a glorious chapter in Rabindranath’s literary life. It was aboard this boat that he composed some of his finest songs and poems. This musical recital, Padmaboter Robi, has been written around those songs and poems, along with vivid depictions of the natural beauty of Bangladesh
