“Ever Since I Was A Kid I’ve Wanted To Learn To SCUBA Dive…”
PADI is by far the largest and most popular Scuba diver certifying system in the world and for good reason. Courses are fun safe relevant and packed with excitement! No matter what country you are in your PADI qualification will be recognised.
To learn to dive first complete the medical questionnaire to make sure you are medically fit to dive. Next pay your deposit and select your course dates. You will receive your PADI eLearning theory which must be completed before you attend the first practical session. This simple and fun eLearning program will give you the knowledge you need to understand the reason for the skills you will learn.
The practical part of your Open Water Scuba Diver course takes just four days! During the first weekend we make it very easy and convenient for you with our on-site dive pool (the only one in the Wellington Region). Our pool is where you learn to dive so we can go at your pace no matter how long it takes. During the first weekend you learn and practice all the necessary dive skills. Once completed you will be ready for the sea dives.
During the second weekend you complete four sea dives two per day. This is where we confirm and practice the skills you learnt in our pool – all under direct supervision. You will also complete a simple 300m swim (no time limit and wearing wetsuit mask snorkel and fins).
Once you are a certified diver you will receive an eCard on your PADI App showing your qualification – and any PADI Dive Centre will be able to confirm your certification online. You will also be qualified to attend the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course and our regular Dive Days.
Our aim is to prepare you for the fascinating adventure of diving. We want to make your diving safe and enjoyable. Welcome to the exciting world of Scuba diving!
