This is a 1-day certification course consisting of 1 knowledge development session and 1 confined water session. Prerequisites:
- Must be 8 years of age or older
- Participants must be able to confidently swim at least 25m and float comfortably on the surface for 3 minutes unassisted
Successful students will earn their PADI Basic Mermaid Certification, which is considered "level 1" in the PADI Mermaid Program.
Details:
- Prior to class: complete your PADI Basic Mermaid eLearning (~2 hours, online)
- 7am-8am: Knowledge Development Session (1 hour, in the classroom)
- 9am-12pm: Confined Water Session 1 (3 hours, in the pool)
