This course is the first step beyond Open Water Diver certification. It offers different experiences, underwater activities and skills to build on from your original course. This is a fun course and you really feel like you are truly exploring the dive sites while learning new skills.
You will develop your Underwater Navigation skills using natural and compass references, eventually performing a square pattern underwater.
You will be able to recognise the
underwater marine life and also where to find them in their natural habitat with the Underwater Naturalist dive. Deep Diving also attracts different marine life beyond 18 meters. You will learn techniques and the principals behind how to safety dive deeper with this dive. There are other dives you can complete but are dependent on the dive site, such as the Wreck dive and Peak Performance Buoyancy.
The course is delivered in two easy steps:
1. Knowledge Development eLearning – 4-6 hours of independent online study
2. Ocean dives: 5 Open Water Dives over 2 days, 3 from the shore and 2 from the boat.
You may be required to complete a Preassessment Pool session if you haven't ever dived with us or haven't dived in over 12 months. Ask if you are required to complete this.
