If you’re planning your first overnight hike, taking a step into the unknown is daunting. If you’ve got a few hikes under your belt, you might be wondering how to improve your setup. We’re here to help!

Overnight hiking can be an overwhelming hobby to get into at first. With so many conflicting opinions about how to do it "the right way", deciding how to approach your first overnighter can be confusing. That’s why our expert team are providing some no-nonsense tips on how to nail your setup, so you can hit the trail in no time.

In this session, we'll cover:

- What essential gear should you take with you

- Safety considerations to keep in mind that are specific to multi-day hiking

- How to pack your hiking pack for maximum comfort

- Everything you need to know about campsite selection

- Some great first overnight hiking options around Perth

We'll also have some examples of overnight hiking set ups (packed and unpacked) including all the gear and essentials you will need for your next trip.

Stay tuned for one of our upcoming events, we will be running a "Meals on the Trail" workshop that runs through everything you need to know about stoves, pots, and cooking out on the trail.
