About this Event
As the climate crisis escalates, interest is growing from everyday people seeking to better understand the science underpinning exactly how and why our world is changing as temperatures soar. Wendy Bruere took this as an opportunity to learn directly from scientists working on the frontlines of climate change, creating the anthology Adventures in Climate Science. Featuring 15 first-person stories of adventure by scientists working in remote and remarkable parts of the world, the book introduces readers to different elements of climate science.
Paddy Pallin are honoured to be hosting an evening of stories with Wendy, the editor, and authors from the book, including fire scientist and fire ecologist Phil Zylstra and marine biologist Jemina Stuart-Smith (more to be announced).
You will be invited to share your own stories and learnings within the group, while enjoying some drinks and nibbles on us, in the hopes that we all walk away from the evening with new-found, like-minded friends.
Come along to Mathers House Hobart, hosted by Paddy Pallin Hobart, to spend an evening taking a deep dive into climate science with the experts!
